I was tasked with building an app to control a piece of hardware that consisted in a laser, a camera, a motor and a microcontroller. The app was developed using Swift and SwiftUI.

Built from scratch an app for the Municipality of Neuquén (a city in the Pagonia region)
The city was set on bringing to this age the old systems they had specially considering the COVID-19 pandemic. Those systems used to require citizens to be physically present in order to do businesses with the city.

As part of the modernization plan, an app was going to be built for Android and iOS devices, I took care of the iOS one, the initial plans were to include only the procedures that used to require an in person appointment, but later it was decided that the app should also act as another channel for communication between the citizen and the government.

As such a redesign and new features, like streaming video capture by cameras, connecting with people and displaying services provided were requested. I treated each functionality as a module. The end result is an app, that not only allowed citizens to speed up their businesses with the city, but also an information and communication hub for the municipality in the context of the pandemic. I was tasked with the maintenance of the app and the implementation of new features. The codebase was very convoluted, so we ended up doing a refactor that allowed us to increase the speed of developing, deploying and A/B testing new features.

We built an application from scratch for a health insurance provider in Puerto Rico. I was in charge of deg and implementing the client side architecture. It was my first purely written in Swift project.

My main focus was on the networking layer implementation, the client was very strict with the libraries that allowed and disallowed us to use out of security concerns. We ended writing our own frameworks, it allowed me to improve my own networking module.

Within the app our main line of work was to implement features and provide maintenance. I worked in features like analytics and remote notifications. But also in more visible areas like UX/UI, a paperless-tickets with offline technology and the addition of a shopping cart to the application. Much of this functionality required interaction with backend services provided via an API of REST services.

All this was done while we were also maintaining the application and refactoring some legacy components. Mostrar menos

Worked as developer in this project since I ed the company. Most of my work has been maintenance but I also added multiple features in the latter versions 1.2 up to the current versions.

The game reached 4.5 stars in the App Store and was the second most ed application from the App Store (most ed was WhatsApp) during 2012 in several countries (the success was driven mostly by players located within Latin America and Spain).

First project I was assigned to since I started working for Etermax. Worked for the initial release adding features like push notifications, animations, memory consumption optimization, application state saving and analytics.

After the initial release the team continued providing and new features, those features included but were not limited to iPad , more localization options, UI improvements and social networks integration (Facebook and Twitter)
