«Leo Farias is one of the most exceptional back-end software engineers I've worked with! He's smart, has solid knowledge on software development best practices, and relentlessly seeks to deliver code which fulfills both customer and business needs. Not only that, but he's someone that's always investing on becoming a better people manager and taking his direct reports to the next level through close guidance and clear communication.»

Project for the discipline of Computer Architecture 2.
The objective of the project is to carry out a better control of the city's lighting points.
Current problem: When a pole burns or somehow fails to provide light, the population is the one who needs to call the lighting company in the region.
Solution: An LDR sensor on each pole captures the luminosity and sends a signal to a plate (Wemos D1) that communicates through an API, informing the current status of the pole (on or off).
The Front-end consumes the same API and updates the information through Google Maps. So when a pole stops working, it's easy to quickly identify and solve the problem.
