    Polarity analysis aims at classifying an author’s opinion as positive, negative, or neutral. However, given the sheer volume of information available on the web, manually carrying out such task is unfeasible. In particular, this type of analysis is useful for companies when making decisions related to the financial market, which is particularly prone to changes according to shifting moods and opinions. Most studies in the literature deal with this problem by considering that whole documents have a single, global polarity. However it is not unusual that documents have opinions on several entities with possibly different polarities. This suggests that the polarity classification should be performed in an entity level. We also noted that many financial documents may not emit any opinion. Therefore, in this paper we propose a supervised polarity classification method based on multiple models and detection of subjectivity, in order to deal with financial documents that cite multiple entities. Our results showed that the hierarchical, multiple-models approach significantly outperformed the global-model baseline.

Thus, automated analyses are used to identify information of interest, and one increasingly important approach is the polarity analysis. Polarity analysis is the classification of a text document in positive, negative, and neutral, according to a certain topic. This classification of information is particularly useful in the finance domain, where news about a company can affect the performance of its stocks. Although most of the methods in financial domain consider that the whole document is associated with a particular entity, this is not always the case. In fact, it is common that authors cite several entities in a single document and these entities are cited with different polarity. Accordingly, the objective of this paper was to study strategies for polarity detection in financial documents with multiple entities. Specifically, we studied methods based on learning of multiple models, one for each ob- served entity, using SVM classifiers. We evaluated models based on the partition of documents into fragments according to the entities they cite. We used several heuristics to segment documents based on shallow and deep natural language processing (NLP). We found that entity-specific models created by partitioning the document collection into segments outperformed the strategy based on the use of entire documents. We also observed that more complex segmentation using anaphora resolution was not able to outperform a low-cost approach, based on simple string matching.

    The Cockpit project is a Web Dashboard Tool for Neemu’s clients. With this tool, Neemu's clients can follow the performance of Neemu’s Search Engine and Recommendation System with an excellent graphical experience. This experience allows clients to identify in their website in a short period of time what are the trending products, the most searched products, the best performance rule for the recommendation system, performance of the autocomplete recommendation among other information. With these metrics the client can make the right decisions to improve the performance of its website using Neemu’s System.

    The Cockpit project is split in two parts: frontend and backend. In the frontend, used technologies include HTML5, JavaScript, CSS and PHP. In the backend, a WebService was created and implemented with NodeJS technology. The backend is completely scalable with the objective to meet the demands of the increasing number of Neemu’s clients.

    Moreover, another tool was created as a complement of the Cockpit project: the SearchManager. This system allows the to add features into the search engine system to improve the results of search system and prioritize a specific product. The technologies used in this tool are the same as the ones in the Dashboard Tool.
