    La mayoría de las experiencias de educación a distancia se orientan a la formación básica (ejemplos bachilleratos), a la educación no formal y a la actualización continua de profesionales.
    La educación formal de pregrado y grado sigue teniendo prevalencia presencial. También se observa una variedad creciente de cursos a distancia para adquirir destrezas específicas, especialmente en el área de tecnologías de información y comunicaciones, así como acciones de las organizaciones en cuanto a capacitación o entrenamiento de personal, para promover cambios o mejoras.
    Este trabajo presenta la experiencia del diseño e implementación de una carrera de pregrado (Tecnicatura Superior en Tecnologías de Información), que combina distintos medios y metodologías educativas, para lograr un espacio que permita:
    a) Trasladar las capacidades de ámbitos universitarios especializados a diferentes regiones geográficas;
    b) Ampliar el a una formación superior, eliminando restricciones de temporalidad y radicación;
    c) Complementar la formación en áreas básicas de sustento con formación tecnológica basada en competencias, orientadas a mejorar la calificación para el mundo del trabajo;
    d) Tener como eje a lo largo de la formación, el marco de las organizaciones, que son el fin último donde impacta la formación y los espacios donde podrán desarrollarse quienes se hayan formado.

    Transactions over the Internet are rapidly becoming the tool of choice for s around the world to carry out an ever-increasing number of tasks. In part, this follows from satisfactory results of the first experiences in e-commerce of these s.
    After these first brush with Internet technology, they become more confident, and turn to on-line transactions more often. The economic impact of electronic transactions is beyond any doubt one the most important aspects related to the use of Internet.
    These transactions display very distinctive features and cause, in turn, specific demands on the underlying infrastructure. This presentation comprises the first stage of a research project focused on developing simulation models of e-commerce systems. On the basis of these models, different typical scenarios are tested.
    This paper introduces a general model for representing and simulating the components of the systems ing electronic business transactions, using the DEVS (Discrete EVent System Specification) formalism. The model considers a network composed of 2 Webservers, one servicing static page requests and the other dynamic pages (ASP, Perl, CGI, etc.).     RESUMEN:
    La “Tecnicatura Superior en Tecnologías de la Información” (TTI), comenzóa dictarse en agosto de 2001 desde la Regional Santa Fe de la UTN (FRSF), tienereconocimiento ministerial (Res 857/02 -MEC) y desde diciembre de 2003 cuenta conel primer grupo de egresados.

    El modelo adoptó desde sus inicios mediostradicionales de comunicación, potenciados con el empleo de Internet y lasestrategias del blended-learning a través de las clases virtuales que además tienden aevitar la sensación de “soledad” y de “no-pertenencia” que aparecen en otrossistemas basados exclusivamente en Internet.
    Los alumnos cursan la carrera con los siguientes componentes del sistema:
    - Módulos escritos.
    - Actividades vía Internet.
    - Un sistema de gestión académico-istrativa.
    - Clases tutoriales (en aulas satelitales o videos).

    La combinación de estas estrategias brinda la posibilidad de socializar el procesoformativo, permitiendo el encuentro con pares y la comunicación con los docentes acargo de los cursos, recibiendo a través de la clase una guía para el estudio,pudiendo hacer consultas en forma directa y accediendo a las consultas que realizanlos estudiantes de diferentes zonas del país que comparten la misma clase.

    Este trabajo presenta una evaluación como evolucionaron los roles de los alumnos,tutores y docentes a lo largo de 5 años de dictado de la carrera mediante larealización de una encuesta a los diferentes grupos de actores, indagando en las 2 principales dificultades encontradas en esta modalidad. Se presentan los resultadosde las encuestas y las conclusiones que obtenidas del análisis realizado.

    In this project, we created a virtual tour of the Faculty (4 floors) aimed at guiding freshmen around the facilities and help them find where each classroom and office are. Also, to provide a better understanding of the sorroundings, Google Photospheres were added to different parts of the tour, so that students (and visitors) can look around each premise. This proved to be an effective tool, replacing the old "blueprint" guide, where each floor was pictured in a blueprint with no real sense of…

    This is a single-page, responsive microsite, aimed at promoting a contest to win a scholarship to complete a course at the Hospital Steno Diabetes Center, in Denmark.
    The microsite was entirely developed using HTML+CSS as well as minor JS excerpts to enhance usability. One of the main goals of the page was to provide easy reading from any device, whether a desktop PC, a tablet or smartphone.

    This project's main goal is to fulfill information requirements (either specific, aggregated or statistical data) put forward by developing an integrated system that gathers data from databases used by most national public Universities, such as SIU-Guaraní, SIU-Mapuche and SIGEVA, in addition to the external databases (such as teacher attendance sub-system) and repositories used by the system itself.

    One of the most popular modules is the one used to create and manage each subject's year plan, where information about each plan is filled information regarding teachers, contents, activities, etc. After validation from academic reviewers, plans are published to the Faculty's Website, where students and general public can them as (autogenerated) PDF files.

    The project was initiated while development started on 1 September 2010, after the initial phases of analysis and complete infrastructure design. The development platform is PHP+MySQL as the main backend, with a strong use of jQuery/AJAX on the frontend, to provide a simple yet powerful experience.

    This website was requested by the Ministry of Education (Santa Fe province) and is used by most teachers in the province of Santa Fe to take online training courses on various subjects. It is also linked to a corporate database (SIAF), where information regarding each course is added to each teacher's work and educational records.

    The project involved the analysis of operational and functional requirements for training and distance training of teachers in the Province of Santa Fe, through the use of a platform for distance education.

    After careful examination, development of a custom learning platform was ruled out and it was agreed with the Ministry's authorities that the best solution was to implement an e-learning platform based on Moodle, along with several customizations and plugin integration.

    Theme development and optimization followed, according to the aesthetic guidelines used by the Ministry of Education of the Province. Platform configuration was performed following the requirements set by each course's teachers. Finally, training of every platform manager was carried out, after it was put into production.

    This project was developed under very high time and resources constraints, as it was created in response to the extreme flooding of the City of Santa Fe and other towns. It comprised the development and operation of a Web-based information system (PHP + MySQL) used to locate and identify flood evacuees (information taken from Evacuation Centers). Afterwards, this information was integrated to different (public and private) data sources and used to generate temporary ID cards for each evacuee. This ID cards were then used to distribute food, clothing and other resources to flood victims.
    At the same time, these databases were used to feed a Web-based GIS system, used to help people find relatives and to optimize the distribution of resources among evacuation centers.
